RULES AND REGULATIONS:

1) This chess competition is divided into 3 categories:
Category A-under 12 years old (ranking below 1400)
Category B-under18 years old (ranking below 1400)
Category C (Open)

2) The FIDE Laws of Chess applies, supplemented by these tournament rules and regulations.

3) To accommodate space or other organizational constraint, the organizing committee has the right to accept or reject any entry without explanation. First-come-first-serve basis to a limited number of participants applies. Funds will be given back to rejected entrant(s).

4) 7 rounds will be played by all participants regardless of their results from earlier encounters and the one with the most accumulated points will be declared as the winner.

5) The time control for each player is given 25 minutes to complete his/her turns. There is no walkover period for this tournament. In the event of an inconclusive result within the allocated time above, the player whose flag falls first is deemed the loser.

6) The tournament director reserves the right to remove any individual deemed a nuisance or undesirable.

7) The decision of Chief Arbiter with regard to the running of the event is FINAL.
